About the Park

Farallones de Cali National Natural Park rises from humid Pacific rainforest to cloud forest, high-Andean forest, and páramo along Colombia's Western Andes. The park is open, but a December 2025 official conservation notice identifies only three permitted visitor sectors: Pico de Loro through El Topacio, Charco Burbujas through El Pato, and the Anchicayá canyon at kilometre 81 of the old road to the sea; entry elsewhere remains restricted.

Choose the sector first

Use Cali and Pance for Pico de Loro through El Topacio or Charco Burbujas through El Pato; use kilometre 81 of the old road to the sea for the Anchicayá canyon. Pico de Loro admits arrivals only from 6:00 to 8:00 a.m.; Burbujas operates from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; Anchicayá operates only on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Before booking

Reserve Pico de Loro between three and 30 days ahead through its authorized guide. For Burbujas or Anchicayá, confirm the current operator and any guide, interpreter, or reservation requirement. Ask about capacity, admission and service fees, the recommended accident insurance, registration, induction, transport, meeting point, return time, and cancellation policy before paying.

Rain, difficulty, and limits

Expect frequent rain, mud, steep ground, low cloud, and temperatures that vary sharply with elevation. Pico de Loro is not permitted for children under 12. Do not enter Pico de Pance, Peñas Blancas, La Oculta, El Manto de La Virgen, or any unlisted sector without an explicit new authorization. Camping, fires, pets, hunting, collecting plants or animals, and entry outside authorized hours are prohibited.
