Cities in Chocó

Chocó is one of the most culturally unique and fiercely biodiverse places on the planet. It is the only Colombian department with coastlines on both the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea. Dominated by dense, nearly impenetrable rainforest and holding some of the highest rainfall records globally, it is profoundly lush, wildly beautiful, and deeply rooted in Afro-Colombian heritage.

Tourism here is inherently adventurous and community-driven. It offers world-class whale watching as humpbacks migrate to its warm Pacific bays, alongside incredible surf breaks, hidden jungle waterfalls, and untouched black-sand beaches far removed from luxury resorts.
